Motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead three officials of a barangay (village) in Caloocan City in a brazen payroll robbery in Bulacan province Monday noon. The officials of Barangay 176 in Caloocan City were ambushed at Barangay Bahay Pare in Meycauayan, Bulacan, radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad reported. Police are now tracking down the motorcycle-riding men, who took some P3 million in payroll money. The dzBB report identified the fatalities as Rodora Gomito, treasurer of Barangay 176; driver Jaime Mendoza; and a liaison officer. A separate report on dzRH identified the third fatality as Dona Medallos. The dzRH report cited initial information indicating the victims passed through Bahay Pare village in Meycauayan City at about 1 p.m. after withdrawing the money from a branch of the Land Bank of the Philippines.
But at Bahay Pare village, at least four motorcycle-riding men blocked their path and fired on them, then took some P3.1 million in cash.

April Boodle Fight - Barangay 176
Held last April 14, 2011 at the grounds of barangay hall after the regular sangguniang barangay session. This activity has been spearheaded by the incumbent Punong Barangay Inar Trinidad & his council. It is usually done after the first regular session of the month to which all the barangay officials and employees are able to eat lunch simultaneously using the "boodle fight" tradition of the military.

"Meeting" ng mga MK's
Had a great time bonding and drinking with the Chief of Staff's of Barangay 176, Zone 15 District I, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. Topic during today's "ceremonial" lunch-drinking was the planned Manaoag-Baguio-Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud-Baguio-Manila trip this coming April 20 to 24, 2011. It was held at MK7 Lyn Surla's house at Phase 9 Package 1. Attendees were MMK Nanette Adduru, SK Staff Chris, Lyn Surla (MK7) of course, Janice Abejo (MK6), Ulysses Abaca (MK5), Diding Velez (MK4), Jimmy Lorsito (MK3) and yours truly, Waldz Renales (MK1). K7 Staff Joan Rabulan was also present. Lydia Arciaga (MK2) was absent due to numerous commitment she had to finish today. Kagawad Joel Bacolod (K1) and Kagawad Tony Cabantac (K7) were also present. Thanks to the warm reception of MK7's husband... hehe..

Vice Mayor EGAY ERICE and Kagawad JOEL BACOLOD Basketball Cup 2011 Championship
The Vice Mayor Egay Erice & Kagawad Joel Bacolod Basketball Cup 2011 in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City held its closing day & championship last April 3, 2011, Sunday, at Phase 8A Covered Court (commonly called "Bidang" Covered Court to residents). The team from Phase 8 won the championship, while Phase 9 placed second and Phase 1 got the third place.
The event was graced by no less than the commissioner of the league, the Honorable Vice Mayor of Caloocan City, the very diplomatic and humble Vice Mayor Egay Erice. Present also during the event is former Councilor of Caloocan First District, the Honorable Gualberto "Boy" Bacolod who exerted his all-out support to the organizer of the league, the Honorable Kagawad Joel S. Bacolod, his son, who spearheaded the event since its opening last January 15, 2011 alongside the week-long celebration of Sto. Niño Parish fiesta.
Greys Sollano and Jeycel Torrelino of Sto. Niño Parish Holy Angels Choir also rendered a song number during the half-time of the championship game. Bryan Balanon and Greeniel Pinca, also members of Holy Angels Choir were present.
SK Kagawad Joshua Gonzales & SK Kagawad Jomari Jimenez also attended the championship game.
The event was hosted by Camille Reboredo and Billy Jen Regalario (Baki).
